The RESETroom Ritual
FLI EXERCISE:
Perform this ritual (or a version of it) every time you go to the restroom:
1. Release
2. Reflect
3. Reset
Yep..
This one’s all about going to the bathroom, girls.
I know it might seem a little silly and strange, but hear me out.
This is a practice I now swear by to uplift and shift my energy when I need it.
Because of all the recent attention on mental health since 2020, you’ve probably heard a bit about checking in with yourself.. such as doing a quick body scan or taking a deep breath to reflect and bring yourself into the present moment.
That’s all wonderful, and I love it, but at least for me, I need something to remind me to actually implement these wonderful new habits into my life.
As in the infamous book, Atomic Habits, if you want to develop a new habit, you start with a cue.
So.. you know what we do several times a day, that we have to do, and that we do in privacy?
Yep.
GO TO THE BATHROOM!
Which is the perfect time to check in.
Here’s what I found..
A bathroom break allows us the opportunity to reset our energy and step into a higher vibration.
How?
When we go to the bathroom, we’re performing a physical manifestation of releasing (aka elimination).
Then, with creating a ritual around it, we can amplify this opportunity to savor the present moment, check in with ourselves, and reflect.
After this, we can extend the ritual with setting an intention to reset our energy and step into our next segment with renewed energy and focus.
So when you feel the need to go to the restroom, that’s your cue to set the intention that you’re about to shift your energy.
Here’s the ritual:
Release.
When you are eliminating.. imagine that you are releasing any and all accumulated tension, toxins, stagnation, negativity, pain, limiting beliefs, old energy, etc. from your body and whatever you do not wish to hold on to that might have stuck to your auric field ✨️Reflect.
Ask yourself:
”What did I just do/accomplish? (Celebrate this!)
What do I want to do next?
What kind of energy do I want to bring to my next segment?Reset.
Wash your wands 🪄 (your hands and fingers)
Imagine the water and soap cleansing and energizing your wands - your powerful energy givers and receivers.
Then DRINK MORE WATER!
Feel the fresh water cleanse your body from the inside.
And.. set yourself up for another restroom ritual! 😉
That’s it!
You can absolutely change this up and add more things into your ritual.
Maybe you make it a little more simple, or you embellish it with a little more magic ✨
Here are some ideas:
During Release or Reset..
Use your “wands” in a sweeping motion from your crown chakra to your root and then to the ground, cleansing and smoothing out your auric field and bringing the old energy down to the Earth to be transmuted.
Touch your third eye and/or the back of your neck while imagining fresh, new energy entering as a bright, white light, and then on an exhale, imagine that cleansing light running down the rest of your chakras like water.
Shake out your body: hands, arms, shoulders, head, hips, legs, ankles, feet.. to physically release old energy and get your blood pumping!
During Reflect
Here’s some more questions you can ask yourself:
Where’s my vibration right now?
Do I need to bridge the gap?
How will I bring more energy - higher energy - to my next segment?”
How can I make my next segment more enjoyable and special for me and those around me?
During Reset
Charge your vessel (whatever you’re drinking your water or beverage out of) with an intention and then drink up (to imprint your intention into the cells of your body)!
This honestly makes me just a little bit excited to go to the bathroom and then drink more water so that I can have another bathroom break soon.. lol.
Sounds a little silly, but it’s a game-freaking-changer and adds just a little more magic into my life 🧚🏼♀️
I highly encourage you to play with this on your next bathroom break and see how you might want to change it up for yourself.
I would love to know!
